ball room dancing swing or Latin dancing?
im going to start taking ballroom dancing again im tied between latin dancing and swing[the one with flips] my weight is 103 so i think i would excel in swing. which one i want to be my major in dancing. im not talking about country swing or the east coast swing. so in your opinion which dance do you think is cooler and why? Latin like the salsa tango or swing the one with the flips 50s music?
Both styles are interesting and fun in their own way. If you are really torn, it means you’d excel in either, either one is calling you. I’d say, it depends on the teachers. If you can find excellent Latin teachers go for Latin. If you can find excellent swing teachers go for swing. See which group do you like better. See which group has better partnering situation.
I picked Latin cause it is more feminine, it teaches you to move…

Latin is more interchangable if you think about it.
Latin is something you can use more in the future.
Latin is sexier too.
I did swing it was a fun. I did Latin, and I am a hit in the clubs because of it. You can do a lot more with Latin.

Oh my! Swing is amazing! its very jumpy and happy. If you like to get down into music and jump around the floor swing is the right thing. Now, if you like to be serious and sharp then latin or tango would be good. Another option is foxtrot. Its a happy go lucky ballroom.
